The Bulldogs were in Wynyard on Friday night to face the Monarchs in a rematch of last year's league final.  The Monarchs led 4-1 after 2 periods of play, but the Dogs fought back and scored 5 unanswered third period goals to defeat Wynyard 6-4.  Kyle Ulmer scored the eventual game winner at 13:41 of the 3rd.  Barney Shynkaruk, with 2 in the third, Matt Miller, Shea Van Luven, and Dan Morin also all found the back of the net in this one.

The Bulldogs would like to thank all of their supporters who attended the 1st ever Bulldog Curling Bonspiel on Saturday.  With 14 teams, the event was a huge success and a fantastic time was had by all.

The Dogs are at home this Saturday evening to face their Highway 11 rivals, the Lumsden Monarchs.  Game time, as always, is 8:00pm.  See you there!

The Bulldogs split their opening weekend with a loss to Avonlea on Friday night combined with a win in their home opener on Saturday.  Avonlea scored 4 goals in a 10 minute span in the second period Friday night and despite a lot of shots, the Dogs could not put one past Arrows goaltender Justin Mrazek.

Sporting their new home uniforms on Saturday night, the Bulldogs defeated the Cupar Canucks 8-2.  Brandt McEachern scored the first goal of his young Bulldog career, while Barney Shynkaruk (2), Tyler Van Luven, Colin Taylor, Colin Back, Shea Van Luven, and Ryan Fishley also found the back of the net.
